Refund policy
I. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
This policy addresses customer cancellations and outlines the conditions for returns and replacements, given the nature of our products (spices/consumable food items).
Summary: We offer a 2-day return window specifically for defective or damaged items. To be eligible for a replacement, items must be in new and saleable condition with original packaging intact and accompanied by the original receipt or bill. For approved cancellations of prepaid orders, refunds are processed to the original payment source within 3-5 working days. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ernakulam only.
1. Order Cancellation
A customer can request to cancel an order only if it has NOT yet been processed and shipped.

Cancellation Window: We accept standard cancellation requests made within 4 hours of placing the order, provided the order has not yet been dispatched.

Refund: If the cancellation is approved for a prepaid order, a full monetary refund will be initiated within 3-5 working days to the original payment source.
II. RETURNS, REPLACEMENTS, AND COMPLAINTS
Due to the nature of our products (spices/consumable food items), we maintain a strict policy focused on quality and food safety.
1. Eligibility for Returns/Replacements
To be eligible for a replacement or return, the following conditions must be met:

Saleable Condition: The item must be in its original packaging. For quality claims, the product must not have been tampered with beyond what is necessary for inspection.

Proof of Purchase: A copy of the original receipt or bill for the order must be provided.

Reporting Window: Complaints about quality, damage, or wrong items must be reported within 2 days of the delivery time recorded by the courier.
2. Replacement Procedure

Verification: To launch a complaint, contact us via phone or email with your Order ID and photographic evidence of the damage.

Unboxing Video: For claims of "Wrong Item" or "Missing Item," an unboxing video is mandatory for verification.

Resolution: If the complaint is verified, we will send a replacement of the equivalent item(s) free of cost. Given the perishable nature of spices, we do not offer monetary refunds for delivered items; our policy is strictly limited to replacement only.
3. General Exclusions & Disclaimers

Non-Returnable: We do not accept returns for change of mind or personal taste preference.

Colour & Ageing: Natural spices may experience a loss of colour or aroma due to light exposure or ageing. This is not considered a defect.

Return Shipping: If a physical return is requested by our team for inspection, we will specify the shipping arrangements at that time.
III. Order Cancellation / Customer Refusal at Delivery
Order Refusal at Delivery:
If a customer refuses to accept the order at the time of delivery (for example, delivery attempt is made and the customer does not accept the package), the order will be marked as cancelled.
Re-Attempt Option:
We will attempt a re-delivery only if the customer specifically requests this re-attempt by contacting our Customer Care team (phone/email) within 24 hours of the first delivery attempt.
Final Cancellation:
If no re-attempt is requested within the above timeframe, the order will be finalized as cancelled.
Refund Conditions:
Once returned items have physically reached our facility and are confirmed to be in saleable condition:
Refund will be processed to the original payment method.
Refund amount will exclude the original delivery charges and any applicable return shipping costs.
The refund processing time remains subject to the same timeline as stated elsewhere in this policy.
IV. PRODUCT INTEGRITY AND LEGAL
1. Chemical Usage Disclosure
While raw crops may be grown using conventional farming methods, Taamco Spices does not add chemical preservatives, artificial colours, or additives during our processing, cleaning, or packaging stages.
2. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the products, orders, or this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ernakulam, Kerala, India only.
